What the site is

FastAPI Interactive is an independent educational site. It teaches the FastAPI web framework through lessons that run a real FastAPI application inside your browser. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the FastAPI project or its author. “FastAPI” is the name of an open-source project and is used here only to describe what the lessons teach.

Using the site

The lessons are free to use. The code you write in them is yours. The example code in the lessons may be reused in your own projects without restriction. The lesson texts, explanations, exercises and the design of the site belong to the operator and may not be copied or republished without permission, beyond what the law allows for quotation.

You may create an account by signing in with GitHub. You are responsible for what happens under it. Accounts used to attack the service, to scrape it, or to obtain certificates by circumventing the lessons may be closed.

The site is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot promise that it is free of errors or never interrupted, and we are not liable for decisions taken on the basis of its contents, to the extent the law allows us to say so. Nothing here limits rights that the law gives you and does not allow to be limited.

Certificates of completion

A certificate of completion attests that every lesson of a track was completed on this site under the account that bought it. It is not an accredited qualification, and the name printed on it is the name the holder asked for. Each certificate has a serial number and a public verification page showing the name, the track, the date of issue and whether the certificate is still valid.

Terms of sale

Who can buy. A certificate can be bought by a signed-in learner who has completed every lesson of the track. One certificate is issued per learner and track.

What you get, and when. Immediately after payment is confirmed, a certificate in your name is issued: a PDF, an image, and a verification page you can link to. You receive it on the site and a receipt by email.

Price and payment. The price is shown before you pay, in euros, and includes any taxes that apply. It may differ by region. Payment is taken by our payment processor on its own secure page; we never see or store your card details. The contract is concluded when the payment is confirmed, and it is concluded in English.

Refunds. You can ask for a full refund for any reason within 14 days of purchase, by writing to hello [at] fastapiinteractive [dot] com with the certificate’s serial number or your receipt. The refund goes back to the payment method you used, and the certificate is withdrawn: its verification page then says so. After 14 days a certificate that has been issued is not refunded.

Mistakes in the name. The name is printed exactly as you entered it. If it is misspelled, write to us and we correct it free of charge.

Withdrawal. A certificate obtained by circumventing the lessons, or bought with a payment that is later reversed, may be withdrawn.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the operator is established. If you are a consumer, nothing here takes away the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim before the courts or consumer bodies there. Please write to us first: most matters are settled by email within a few days.

Changes

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Purchases are governed by the terms in force when they were made.
